Travel Enlightened

Travel Enlightened needed ongoing help keeping their site current and functional as their offerings grew. Rather than a one time build, this has been ongoing maintenance and development work, adding new content structures and improving how their CMS handles existing content. This work was contracted through Marli Creative.

I updated and expanded their Experiences, Destinations, and Stays CMS collections, which are the core content types that drive most of the site's dynamic pages. On top of that, I implemented Finsweet's CMS Combine and CMS Filter features. CMS Combine lets you merge multiple CMS collections into a single filterable, sortable list, which is useful when a site has related content types (like Experiences and Stays) that visitors want to browse together rather than as separate isolated lists. CMS Filter then gives visitors a way to narrow that combined list down by category, location, or whatever attributes matter most for planning a trip.

Alongside the CMS work, I added roughly three unique new sections to the site, each built to fit into the existing design system while introducing new content types or layouts that didn't exist before.

The site now has a more flexible content structure that can grow without needing constant developer intervention. Visitors get a better way to browse and filter Experiences, Destinations, and Stays together, and the new sections give the client more ways to present their offerings.
